Reading Profile

I have always had a passion for reading. Even though I work around books all day everyday, a trip to a book store will cheer me up on my gloomiest day. The aroma of the new books and the sight of the thousands of books make me forget about my troubles. Before my time became very limited with working two jobs, going to school and spending quality time with my grandchildren; I would read at least a book every two weeks. That is not the case anymore at least not adult books. I now have time to only read between semesters and several children's books.

When time permits me to read I enjoy reading romance, LGBT, literature& fiction, and some urban fiction. I mainly read books by African American authors.

My favorite authors are Carl Weber, Mary B. Morrison, Sister Souljah, Fiona Zedde, Laurinda Brown, E. Lynn Harris, Eric Jerome Dicky, Brenda Jackson and Francis Ray.

I still buy the print copy of all my books. If I am traveling, I will also purchase the Nook copy of the book. I like my Nook but I love the print copy of a book.

I am very excited about this class because it is really going to take me out of my reading comfort zone.
